What is surfskate

A surfskate looks similar to a skateboard, but it rides and turns differently. It is often used to practice surf-like movement.

Difference from a skateboard

The key difference is the front truck. It lets the rider draw smooth arcs and gain speed through body movement instead of constant pushing.

Pumping

Pumping means accelerating with the body: shifting weight, rotating shoulders and hips, and linking smooth movements.

Carving

Carving means wide flowing turns. This is where surfskate starts to feel closer to surfing than to a regular street board.

Who it suits

Beginners, adults, kids after age confirmation, surfers training technique and people looking for active seaside time.

Why start with an instructor

An instructor helps with stance, braking, safety and prevents early movement mistakes from becoming habits.

Try surfskate in practice

A first lesson makes the mechanics clearer than solo attempts on a random spot.
